Welcome to an exciting addition to our Postpartum Group Support Sessions! We understand that the early days of parenthood are filled with cherished moments, and we're thrilled to offer you a convenient way to capture them with our Micro Lifestyle Photography Sessions.
We know that leaving the house with a newborn can be a daunting task. That's why we've partnered with Marnie to bring the studio to you during our group sessions. No need to plan a separate outing for a photoshoot. Simply schedule your session during one of our workshops, and Marnie will be right there to capture those precious moments.
We hope that the relaxed and familiar environment at Ensemble, combined with Marnie’s skill and experience will help you to feel at ease, creating natural and beautiful photographs.

Introducing Marnie
Marnie is a local Calgary Lifestyle and Wedding photographer who loves capturing couples and families in some of life’s most precious moments. She loves supporting families though their maternity journey and feels honoured to be an integral part of welcoming many newborns into the world in a safe and supportive environment.
Beyond photography she is also a Registered Nurse who spent 12 years of her career in Labour and Delivery at Foothills Medical Center. Currently, she works in one of Calgary’s Maternal Fetal Medicine clinics, alongside Perinatologists, Obstetricians and specialized sonographers who focus on exploring complex fetal and/or maternal medical conditions during pregnancy.
Marnie is a proud mom of three children, two of which are fraternal twins. She understands the complexity of parenthood and takes pride in being able to offer her clients the ability to capture those precious moments that families can look back on for years to come.
Marnie is excited to join Ensemble to offer micro lifestyle and newborn photography sessions during some of the group education sessions.

Marnie has scouted out all of the best lighting and angles in the clinic, and she brings in props such as blankets, carpets and rugs. You’ll never be able to tell what’s outside the frame when you receive your photos!

No, anyone can book a micro session with Marnie at Ensemble. We align her schedule to our Postpartum Support Groups to make it as convenient as possible for our families with young babies.

Typically 5-10 minutes per family. If you are a group participant there is some flexibility to switch up your timing with one of the other families who is also booked in the event that your baby needs to feed, cry or have their diaper changed at the exact time of your booking - baby’s have the best timing!

Marnie’s micro sessions are designed to flow with the discussion-based nature of the group sessions. However, if you would prefer not to miss any of the discussion Marnie has time slots available immediately before and after the group sessions.

For baby, Marnie suggests earthy tones (creams and neutrals), and solid colours with no logos nor loud patterns. For moms, she suggests dresses or a casual stylish outfit, like jeans with a neutral blouse.
