Prenatal and Postpartum Counselling

Our counsellors have a range of expertise and skills to support your mental health during the perinatal and postpartum period. They can help you as you navigate infertility, birth trauma, adjustment to parenthood, relationship issues, and more.

Sarah Mateshaytis
MSW, RSW

Registered Social Worker

Sarah (she/her) provides individual adult and couples counselling. She specializes in perinatal mood, adjustment and coping during the perinatal period, parental mental health, and parental relationship challenges.

Sarah knows how important it is to take care of yourself, your relationship(s), and your family during the perinatal period, and how challenging this phase of life can be. She has a certificate in Perinatal Mental Health from Canadian Perinatal Mental Health Trainings (CPMHT), as well as certificates in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, and Brief Solution Focused Therapy. She takes a systemic, and strengths-based approach with her clients.

Sarah loves a hot cup of tea with milk, her wire-haired vizsla pup, Tetley (yes, she’s named after the tea!), and hiking and camping in the mountains.

Sarah is currently on maternity leave.

Caitie Jane Parsons
RTC

Registered Therapeutic Counselor

Caitie Jane offers compassionate support for every stage of your journey. She is a client-lead, experiential therapist offering a holistic approach to life's challenges. She draws on many perspectives to meet the individual needs of her clients. This might include elements of Transpersonal Psychology, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Based, Somatic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness.

It was her first-hand experience with perinatal depression that brought her full-hearted attention towards mental health during the parenting years and beyond. She roots her practice in compassion, curiosity, and connection, and holds a strong belief that we are all whole and well, but sometimes we just lose our way.

Caitie enjoys growing and finding curious plants in the wild with her daughter and fermenting strange things on her kitchen counter.
